Overview

In a solid collaboration with director Eduardo Chauvet, we became the associate producer of the O Renascimento do Parto trilogy. We made significant contributions to the direction of photography, coloring, and finishing of this impactful film project, which began its commercial journey through cinema theaters. The work, which delves deeply into the universe of childbirth and delivery in Brazil and internationally, was an honor to participate in, given its ability to touch and transform lives. In a humorous way, we usually say that the target audience for the film is "everyone who was born."

Challenges & Achievements

The revealing nature of the film, which sheds light on childbirth practices in Brazil, already made us anticipate difficulties in raising funds. Therefore, we chose to finance the project with our own resources, confident in recovering the investment during the commercialization phase. In this scenario, another adversity was the need to work with an extremely lean team. Despite the obstacles, we overcame them and achieved remarkable results, as you can see below.

The Result

The trilogy was impressive at the box office, remaining in theaters for 22 weeks and reaching over 50 cities. O Renascimento do Parto earned the title of second-highest national documentary box office in 2013, just behind Helena, another notable release of the same year. Expanding its presence, the film made its debut on streaming platforms and television, including a 5-year presence on Netflix, available in over 40 countries and translated into 6 languages. With only the first film, we achieved an impressive mark of 1.1 million in commercialization.
